At the Society’s recent AGM in Spain, one of the presentations was given out in the open on a headland overlooking Rosas Bay. John Roberts outlined the strategic position in August 1810 as it applied to Hornblower and the rest of Admiral Leighton’s squadron. He went on to describe the battle fought between HMS Sutherland and four French warships while those members present could actually see where it mostly took place. John’s paper is now published here on “Reflections Online”.
