Another paper presented at the 2022 Annual General Meeting was one written by the Society’s Editor, John Maunder. It was entitled “Horatio Hornblower’s Dangerous and Violent Career”. This is the full version (50 pages) of what was a necessarily shorter talk. It includes an analysis of all the violent and dangerous incidents experienced by Hornblower in his career.
