The first publication for the Society for 2020 comes from new member, Roshani Palamakumbura, and it provides a welcome consideration of three of the books of C S Forester besides Hornblower. Roshani has long held an interest in crime novels and crime noir. He says that when he read the three Forester crimes novels, (Payment Deferred, Plain Murder and The Pursued), he found them to be a revelation and many members of the Society will agree with him when he says that the three books deserve a much wider audience”.
